LET'S STAY IN TOUCH

Yoga Therapy for Addiction Recovery

Supporting recovery through nervous system regulation, trauma-informed movement, and mind-body connection.

Lasting recovery requires more than abstinence.
It requires safety in the body.
It requires nervous system support.
It requires the chance to feel something different.

At Breathe Yoga Therapy, we offer on-site yoga therapy groups for addiction and mental health treatment centers—integrating somatic practices, trauma-informed care, and nervous system education to support the full spectrum of healing.

This is not fitness-focused yoga.
This is therapeutic, accessible, body-first support for individuals in recovery.

What We Offer

We provide on-site group yoga therapy for treatment centers serving clients at the following levels of care:

  • 2.1 (Intensive Outpatient)

  • 2.5 (Partial Hospitalization/Day Treatment)

  • 3.1 (Low-Intensity Residential)

Each group is led by a Certified Yoga Therapist with extensive experience in trauma, addiction recovery, and nervous system regulation.

Sessions are offered on a weekly or twice-weekly basis, with content tailored to support the clinical goals of your program.

🌱 What Clients Learn & Practice

In each group, participants are guided through:

  • Nervous system education: how trauma and addiction impact regulation
  • Somatic practices: grounding, gentle movement, breathwork, EFT tapping
  • Body-based emotional regulation: tools for managing triggers and cravings
  • Present-moment awareness: reconnecting to safety and sensation in the body
  • Self-agency and empowerment: exploring new ways of being through choice and embodied experience

All practices are trauma-informed, adaptable to all body types and ability levels, and accessible regardless of yoga experience.

JOIN THE PROGRAM

Hi there!

I’m Ali, a yoga therapist and trauma-informed yoga teacher based in Richmond, Virginia. I created this program to help you build resilience and restore a sense of peace through the healing power of yoga, somatic movement, and nervous system education. These practices are grounded in the science of neuroplasticity—your brain and body’s natural ability to change and heal over time.

I’ve walked this path myself and have used these tools in my own healing journey. I know how life-changing it can be to feel safe and at home in your body again.

Join me for Body-Focused Healing for Anxiety: Uncovering and Healing the Root Causes of Chronic Stress and learn simple, effective practices to reduce, manage, and even embrace your anxiety—one breath, one movement, one moment at a time.

We Can Learn to Heal

We're not stuck where we are—our brains are wired for change. Through the power of neuroplasticity, we can gently rewire old patterns and reconnect with our truest selves. Your experiences don’t define you—they can become the foundation for healing and growth. I’d be honored to walk with you on this journey back home to yourself.
